John is the owner of PG New York and as President oversees the day-to-day operations of the company with integrity and a commitment to deliver results.
He began his career as an apprentice in the carpenters union and at 26 he opened his own company working side by side with his team to install drywall. In 2006, having the opportunity to install a building façade he opened PG New York.
Since those early days the company has grown to 100+ employees, installing building facades throughout NYC with great attention to detail to insure successful completion of each project.
With John’s 30+ years of construction experience he is uniquely skilled at anticipating problems a building façade installation may face and assembling the right detailed oriented team to work out the issues ahead of mobilizing. His problem-solving skills have been the driving force in the growth and success of PG New York.
Seasoned project manager John Vennera has over 37 years of experience in the construction industry with a proven track record of success in a variety of roles, including prefabricated modular construction and residential construction including all phases of framed home building, and commercial construction.
Seizing the opportunity to expand in commercial construction, John joined the Carpenter’s Union, quickly moving through the ranks supervising various shops specialized in manufacturing prefabricated, unitized wall systems sent to and erected in New York and New Jersey.
Having decades of field experience coupled with proven strategic thinking skills, John naturally shifted to a project management role where he is accountable for and skilled in the management of project scope, achievement of project timelines and budgets in a highly matrixed environment. He successfully partners with key stakeholders to identify gaps, mitigate risks, and resolve issues while managing project teams to ensure PG New York’s delivery of high-quality service and workmanship from the onset of each project through its completion.
Yan Torres is our Chief Estimator with over 20 Years of experience in the construction Industry. He joined PG as an Estimator in 2011 and led the transition from being a drywall subcontractor to an exterior cladding company, drawing on his previous roles as an Assistant Project Manager and Estimator at other construction management companies to move PG New York forward. Yan is a motivated and goal-oriented professional.
Yan attended The University of Ibague in his home country, earning his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and an additional associate degree in AutoCAD. He also served with honors in the Colombian military service, recognized with awards and decorations.
Yan is highly skilled in pre-construction design and value engineering and has outstanding relationships with architects, exterior consultants, developers, and contractors while continuously generating budgets for upcoming projects.
